Scar Healing Salve
Initially intended for stretch marks, I added to this recipe to make a scar healing salve for chicken pox marks, stitches marks, and any other newly formed scars. In our family we also apply to older scars. Every ingredient included is excellent for skin repair. Protecting scars from sun exposure is also a great idea.
From the antimicrobial coconut oil and the skin smoothing shea butter to the cell renewing plantain oil and moisturizing vitamin E and beeswax, this salve holds great promise to greatly reduce your scars. The special qualities of essential oils of lavender, frankincense, helichrysum, geranium, sandalwood and elemi will also soothe, protect, and reduce scar tissue.
Each two ounce glass jar has a nice amount of salve that should be used daily or as often as you are able.
